Former Lone Peak High basketball star Bracken Funk is transferring to BYU-Hawaii. Funk played last season at Fresno State, but announced a month ago that he was leaving that program.
Because BYU-H is a lower-division school, Funk is immediately eligible to play for the Seasiders. BYU-H played in the NCAA Division II national championship game last season.
Funk played for Fresno State after an LDS Church mission. He averaged 6.4 points and 3.9 rebounds for a team coached by former BYU coach Steve Cleveland. He appeared in all 31 games for Fresno State.
At Lone Peak, Funk was a part of several great teams that also featured BYU's Tyler Haws and Jackson Emery.
