Basketball: AF's Waddoups garnering some D-I attention

Quincy Bair and Marcel Davis might not be the only American Fork basketball players to land Division I scholarships next year.
Bair and Davis have both committed to Utah State.
However, their AF teammate, 6-1 guard Austin Waddoups, is also starting to earn some D-I attention.
Waddoups recently received an offer from Cornell, although Ivy League teams do not award athletic scholarships.
Waddoups recently attended a prospect camp at Cornell and made the camp all-star team. He helped his team win the camp championship.
Columbia and Brown have also expressed interest.

Snow College women's basketball coach Natalie Visger has announced the signing of four players for the 2011-12 season.
Here they are:
* Natresha Bernard, a 5-11 forward from Las Vegas High in Nevada.
* Vika Havili, a 5-10 center from Cottonwood High. Havili was a second-team all-stater who only started playing basketball her sophomore year.
* Tori McGrath, a 5-9 guard from Canyon View High in Cedar City. McGrath was also an all-state soccer player.
* Becca Rees, a three-year starting point guard for Morgan High. Rees was the 3A defensive player of the year as a junior and a first-team all-stater.
The four recruits join Delta's Kaity Diaz, Juab's Liz Farrer and Mountain Crest's Jordi Willden. They signed with Snow in April.
