Park City and Manti wrapped up successful defenses of their Class 3A and 2A state high school golf championships in impressive fashion Thursday at two different courses in St. George.

Park City enjoyed a big two days at Sunbrook, rolling to a whopping 39-stroke victory over second-place Dixie. St. George area schools Desert Hills, Pine View and Snow Canyon rounded out the top four.

The Miners got top five finishes from Mitchell Schow, Drew Fleming, Jalen Roberts and Colin Steel with Schow winning medalist honors for the second straight year.

Schow shot a 73 Thursday for a 142 total with Fleming second at 145 and Roberts third at 146. Dixie's Taylor Yardley finished fourth at 147 while Steel tied with Tooele's Braxton Quinn for fifth at 149.

Manti broke open a close first-day battle, beating Grand Countgy 624 to 641 to defend its 2A title at Southgate.

Layton Christian's Jaece Stokes dominated the individual portion of the tournament, firing a 69 Thursday for a two-day total of 137. That easily beat second-place Davis Hardy who had a 151. Manti's Kody Quarnberg, Rowland Hall's Garrett Furubayshi, Grand's Jace Woodward and Manti's Joe Barton rounded out the top five.
