League champions Wayne and Tabiona easily advanced to the Class 1A baseball semifinalsTuesday after first-round victories at the Spanish Fork baseball complex.
Region 20 champion Wayne blasted Wendover 22-3 while Region 17 winner Tabiona shut out Piute 4-0.
Region 18 champion St. Joseph wasn't quite so lucky. Valley blasted the Jays 9-1 to knock them out of the tournament.
Green River beat Tintic 6-4 in the other semifinals.
The tournament moves to Dixie State in St. George Friday. Wayne meets Green River at noon while Valley tests Tabiona at 2 p.m. The winners will pay for the title at noon Saturday.
