Some interesting statistics and notes came out of last weekend's Utah high school football games.

• Skyline's Aleck Russon had 23 rushes for 303 yards and four touchdowns in the Eagles' win against Timpanogos. That broke the school record of 302 yards set by Leka Moeaki against Cottonwood in 2004.

• One of the big reasons for unbeaten Corner Canyon's early success is the Chargers' fine offensive line of center Luke Hermann, guards Sam Dalsasso and Grant Nielson, tackles Branden Bowen and Keaton Bills and tight end Izaac Britton. The second-ranked 4A team is average 37 points and 283 rushing yards a game with a seven-yard per carry average.

• Jordan quarterback Austin Kafentzis continues to put up big numbers. In the Beetdiggers' 38-14 victory over Cherry Creek, Colo., Saturday, he was 22 of 33 for 310 passing yards and four touchdowns. He also rushed for 154 yards.

• Bingham moved up one spot to 23rd in this week's MaxPreps' Xcellent 25 national football rankings.
