George Felt is the guru of prep football numbers in Utah. His book Utah High School Football is full of interesting factoids.

He offered some interesting numbers at the start of the Utah football season worth passing on.

Here are a few:

Duchesne's 48-game winning streak, Utah's longest in history by 12 games now, currently ranks as the fourth longest in the nation. Only Ithaca, Mich., and Regina in Iowa City, Iowa, (with 56-game streaks) and Bellevue, Wash., with 54, have longer current streaks. Bingham has the next longest Utah winning streak at 15 followed by Timpview with 13 and Judge with 12.

North Sevier ended a 25-game losing streak by defeating American Leadership Academy. And Carbon won for the first time since 2012 with its win over Grand.

Clearfield's Deondre Hambric returned a punt 99 yards last Friday, the longest punt return since 1994 and only the third 99-yarder on record.
