One of the first major cross country meets of the season will take place Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Sugar House Park when the 4th annual Highland Invitational is scheduled.

According to Highland High cross country coach Gary Rowles, over 50 schools and 2,000 runners are expected to compete.

This meet is especially important because the state meet is also held in the same area.
