This is the time of year when many preseason "watches" for top players and teams are beginning to be published.
The latest, from CBS MaxPreps media manager Jim Stout, lists national player of the year as well as junior, sophomore and freshman player of the year watches.
Kyler Murray of Allen, Texas, is the favorite to win the National Player of the Year.
The only Utah player on the list is Jordan’s Austin Kafentzis. The star Beetdigger quarterback is listed as a "sleeper" in Stout’s National Player of the Year Watch.
