The Lone Peak boys' basketball team will receive its trophy as MaxPreps.com's national champion during a ceremony at the school Thursday.

Knights coach Quincy Lewis will accept the Army National Guard national ranking trophy, which will be presented for the seventh year.

Lone Peak finished 26-1 overall and captured the Class 5A state title for the third consecutive year.

Lone Peak's lone loss came against Montverde Academy in the title game of the City of Palms tournament in Florida.

MaxPreps ranks more than 20,000 boys' basketball teams in the country, and Lone Peak finished atop the heap.

The ceremony is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Lone Peak auditorium.
