Two-a-days: An introduction to The Tribune's team-by-team football previews

At more than 100 high schools across the state, aspiring gridiron warriors are digging their cleats and their fingers into the turf. They're itching to put on a helmet and pads. They're sweating and running and diving and picking themselves back up.

We're still in the blazing heat of summer, but fall and high school football are a blink away. The Tribune is bringing you team-by-team previews of some of the biggest programs that will sculpt the football landscape this season and tear away at the record books.

We'll bring you stories from football camps up and down the Wasatch Front that offer a look about what challenges local teams face and how they're meeting them. We'll have breakdowns and key facts to simplify the outlook for the season.

This afternoon, we'll have our first preview. But from then on, we'll deliver two every day: In the morning and in the afternoon, just like the practices for Utah's up-and-coming athletes who are waiting to play under the Friday night lights.

Monday through Saturday, until kickoff on August 17, the Tribune will bring you to the the locker rooms and fields — as close as you can get to the action without getting tackled. Stay with the Overtime blog and the Tribune as we get ready for some football.
