Mountain Crest got back to the semifinals by knocking out Salem Hills with a big third quarter. The effort was led by senior Karlee Kartchner, who finished with 23 points and 16 rebounds.

Kartchner also celebrated a major achievement last week when she committed to play basketball at Utah Valley University. Coach Candace Thornton said the Mustang star would have to wait until April's signing period to make it official, but that she was very excited to be joining UVU.

Kartchner talks about the game and her commitment in her own words:

Stay with the Tribune and the Overtime blog for more postseason coverage.
