It looks like in-state schools have also taken notice of Highland running back Sione Houma.
Earlier this spring, the 6-foot, 215-pound power back received offers from Michigan and Washington. Rams coach Brody Benson said Monday that Utah and Utah State have entered the fray and made offers to Houma.
Last season, Houma emerged as a critical offensive piece for Highland, which won the 4A state championship. Houma rushed for 1,064 as, perhaps, the third option for the Rams, behind receiver Nate Fakahafua and quarterback Anthony “Fish” Smithson. Smithson returns with Houma next season, but the running back is expected to take on an even bigger role.
