The Rock (not the movie with Sean Connery)

Reuters photographer (and former Trib photog!) Jim Urquhart headed out to one of Utah’s more architecturally unique polygamists communities recently. He put together a fascinating series of photos of everyday life in Rockland Ranch, aka "The Rock," located near Moab.
See the images at The Atlantic here and read about Jim’s process and how he got access to the community on his blog. Their homes are literally blasted out of the sandstone, and some of the coolest images, I think, show their rock ceilings (take that, Ikea!)
