Regulatory lemons into marketing lemonade

That story about Five Wives vodka being banned in Idaho had legs: Media outlets from the Huffington Post to Fox News picked it up.

When I saw a "Free Five Wives" T-shirt at the Mountain Brewers Festival in Idaho Falls less than a week after the news broke (the shirt is available for purchase at the distillery), I was curious exactly how far the story had spread.

So I created this Storify with a selection of the news stories and some reactions.

The folks who make it, Ogden's Own Distillery, got the buzz started with a press release on the Idaho State Liquor Division decision.
