The playground is named after the 6-year-old girl who was abducted from her home on June 26, 2012, and killed. The new playground is part of the Ron Wood Park which is named after a West Jordan police officer who was shot and killed Nov. 18, 2002, by a 17-year-old suspect wanted in connection with a string of burglaries. When all phases are complete, the park will total about 64 acres. Read more
