Pac-12: Five teams ranked in AP Top 25

The Pac-12 claims two top-four spots and three down-the-list positions in the AP Top 25 preseason poll, released Saturday.

Oregon (No. 3) and Stanford (No. 4) received by far the highest recognition among Pac-12 schools, followed by UCLA (No. 21), USC (No. 24) and Oregon State (No. 25).

Utah faces all five of those teams this season. OSU definitely should be in the Top 25 when the Beavers visit Rice-Eccles Stadium on Sept. 14. Based on the opponent's ranking at the time, the Utes nevr have played more than three Top 25 teams in any season.

The Pac-12's most anticipated game, as of now, is scheduled Thursday, Nov. 7, when Stanford hosts Oregon.
