Pac-12: Arizona familiar with Salt Lake City

Arizona guard Mark Lyons played for the Xavier team that lost 101-96 to Kansas State in double overtime in the Sweet 16 at Salt Lake City's EnergySolutions Arena in 2010. He's back in the building with the Wildcats, facing Belmont on Thursday in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

"I just remember the intensity of the game, seems like every shot was a big shot and every possession meant the game," said Lyons, who had two points and two assists in 11 minutes.

Arizona coach Sean Miller also is familiar with Salt Lake City as a tournament venue. In 2006, his No. 14-seeded Xavier team lost 79-75 to Gonzaga at the Huntsman Center on the University of Utah campus. Miller described that game as "a heartbreaker."

The Wildcats played BYU at EnergySolutions Arena in December 2010, losing 87-65 to a Jimmer Fredette-led team. In February, Arizona beat Utah 68-64 at the Huntsman Center.
