Thanks to Arizona's scoring two touchdowns in the last minute to beat Nevada, the Pac-12 is 1-0 bowl games.

The competition actually gets tougher Saturday.

Washington will meet Boise State in the Las Vegas Bowl, trying to finish the season with better feelings than last month, when the Huskies crumbled in the fourth quarter of a loss to Washington State.

Boise State crushed Utah (then playing its final Mountain West game) and Arizona State in the last two Las Vegas Bowls. The current Broncos are not nearly as powerful offensively as those teams were, but their defense is outstanding. Washington quarterback Keith Price and running back Bishop Sankey will have to earn all the yards they get in what looks like a low-scoring game.

The Huskies went into the Apple Cup with bigger ambitions than the Las Vegas Bowl, but they should be motivated to play well Saturday. The pick: Washington 17, Boise State 14.
