Pac-12 suspends WSU linebacker for hit to the head
Published on Sep 11, 2012 01:58PM
Washington State linebacker Deone Bucannon will miss the first half of the Cougars' Friday night game at UNLV after the Pac-12 deemed a hit to the head of a defenseless opponent on Saturday against Eastern Washington.
The conference reviews on a weekly basis all targeting and unnecessary roughness hits, Commissioner Larry Scott said in a release.
Through two games, Bucannon recorded 19 tackles and an interception for the Cougars, who are 1-1.
