Biden holds secret fundraisers for fellow Dems. Rand Paul teams with Utahns for Guatemala trip. Utah Debate Commission names hosts.

Happy Tuesday. President Barack Obama has raised cash for fellow Democrats at fundraisers across the country but Vice President Joe Biden is also helping fellow Democrats with donations, even if his efforts are largely secret. Biden has been holding several under-the-radar events with contributors where attendees are warned not to tweet or Facebook, or even email. [Politico]

Topping the news: Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., joined University of Utah ophthalmologists on a charity trip to Guatemala that Donald Trump helped fund to the tune of $10,000. [Trib] [WaPost]

-> The Utah Debate Commission has selected broadcast veterans Ken Verdoia and Barbara Smith as well as BYU political scientist David Magleby to host public forums for congressional and attorney general candidates. [Trib]
