White House outs CIA chief in Afghanistan. Utah Pride Center wants apology from Herbert. SLC may douse 4th fireworks.

Happy Tuesday. The White House mistakenly outed the top CIA official in Afghanistan during President Barack Obama's surprise visit to the country this past weekend. The name of the official came in a list of military brass and diplomatic aides the White House gave to reporters on the trip, and was only caught after a journalist questioned why the person was described as a "chief of station," a moniker reserved for the clandestine service. Topping the news: State lawmakers are considering changes to how multi-county businesses are taxed that opponents fear could lead to disproportionately higher costs for the little guy. [Trib]
