News roundup: Karl Rove warns GOP not to get cocky

First Published Apr 30 2014 06:09AM      Last Updated Apr 30 2014 07:27 am

Karl Rove to GOP: Don't get cocky. Stewart wants to kill agency 'SWAT teams.' Utah could lose $400 million in transportation funds.

Happy Wednesday. Republicans may be looking good heading into the midterm elections -- polls show Americans want the GOP in charge and President Barack Obama's numbers are low -- but campaign guru Karl Rove says his party should be careful not to coast. If "Republicans get cocky, think the election is over and think that all they need to do is to play it safe and beat up on Obama," Rove told Fox News, "Democrats are going to win more races than they otherwise should."
