Poll: Hillary bests Jeb Bush in White House race. Herbert may veto Lockhart's ed initiative. Seelign won't seek re-election.

Happy Friday. Should former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush decide to follow the family tradition and run for president, he'll be starting far behind Hillary Clinton, a new poll shows. Bush would grab around 33 percent of likely voters as compared to the 47 percent Clinton takes. Of course, it's all hypothetical — who knows who the general election candidates will be in two years — but interesting to note how well Clinton marks this early. [SunshineStateNews]

Topping the news: Gov. Gary Herbert said he would consider vetoing House Speaker Becky Lockhart's proposal to put more technology in schools if lawmakers give the program more than $30 million. [Trib] [DNews] [Herald] [KUTV]
