As Huntsman Chemical released its fourth quarter earnings report today, a reporter asked the company's chief executive, Peter Huntsman, when his brother, U.S. Ambassador to China, Jon Huntsman Jr., would decide if he's going to make a White House bid.

"He'll be announcing that soon, one way or the other, I hope in the next couple of weeks," Peter Huntsman told Reuters.

But don't expect the current ambassador and former Utah governor to light up the Huntsman for President banner that soon. Advisers to the Horizon Political Action Committee, which is thought to be Huntsman's campaign-in-waiting, say there will be no decisions made until he returns from his service abroad.

Huntsman has resigned his ambassadorship, effective April 30.

But, just to be fair, May 1 is about 10 weeks away, which in the political world, is only a couple weeks away.— Thomas BurrTwitter.com/thomaswburr
