In case you missed it, former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman Jr. was on Charlie Rose Friday night (thanks to my kids for keeping me up late enough that I caught it).
Not too surprisingly, the Ambassador to China mainly talked about China. The takeaway is that, according to Huntsman, China's Communist Party is trying to keep control of a country going through monumental economic and demographic changes, and that perspective offers a starting point to explain much of how the government acts and reacts to events.
