T.J. Oshie became the hero of the day as his goals in overtime secured the United States' victory over Russia in men's hockey Saturday. I intentionally positioned myself high in the stands behind the American bench. In my mind, I had envisioned the entire team erupting from the bench and onto the ice — gloves, helmets and sticks flying everywhere with dejected Russians skating off in the background.

In reality, that did not happen. But there still was a nice moment with Oshie celebrating with his teammates. Perhaps that big celebration will happen with the gold medal-winning team Sunday.
