David Wise's gold medal in the halfpipe ski competition was a major breakthrough for Salt Lake City-based company.Wise, who's from Reno, Nev., is part-owner of 4FRNT Skis. His victory delighted employees who gathered Tuesday morning (Utah time) to watch his performance. "I've never been more nervous for something which I had no control over the outcome," company founder Matt Sterbenz wrote in an email. "A lot of collaboration and strategy has allowed for this moment and the dream which David, his family and our entire team has been pursuing has now come true and become our new reality." Wise, 23, is receiving considerable media attention for his unusual persona in freestyle skiing. He's married with a 2-year-old daughter, and he and wife advise a Christian youth group.
