Chrissie Hynde is touring this fall, for the first time under her own name — rather than as leader of The Pretenders. And Salt Lake City is one of her stops.

Hynde will perform Monday, Nov. 24, at 7:30 p.m. at Kingsbury Hall, 1395 E. Presidents Circle, University of Utah campus, Salt Lake City.

Hynde, 62, released her new album, "Stockholm," in June. The album, the first she has released under her own name, features the hit single "Dark Sunglasses." She will launch a 25-city North American tour on Oct. 30 in Toronto.

Hynde, of course, is best known for her years fronting The Pretenders, producing hard-edged pop-rock songs like "Middle of the Road," "My City Was Gone," "Brass in Pocket," "Back on the Chain Gang" and "Don't Get Me Wrong."

Tickets for Chrissie Hynde's concert — at $55 and $65 — will go on sale Friday, Sept. 12, at Smith's Tix and at the Kingsbury box office.
