Here’s what’s happening today in pop culture:

• "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" was No. 1 at the box office for a second weekend. The geriatric action franchise "The Expendables 3" came in fourth place, well below projections — with industry observers wondering if the movie suffered at the box office because of piracy, or because its PG-13 rating turned off the franchise’s fans.
