OK, fans of Kevin Smith — and you know who you are — are going to want to hear this: Your hero is coming to Utah this weekend.

The filmmaker and comic-book aficionado will be in Logan on Sunday, to perform two live podcasts.

Smith's visit is part of the first anniversary celebration for Death Ray Comics, at 72 W. Center St., Logan. The store's owner/operator, Trent Hunsaker, will take part in the "NetHeads" podcast.

Hunsaker noted that this is Smith's first visit to Utah outside of the Sundance Film Festival, where Smith made his name premiering his 1994 debut "Clerks."

"I know fans who are traveling as far away as Denver for our event in Logan," Hunsaker said in a statement.

Smith will be a guest on "NetHeads," a podcast hosted by Hunsaker and Will Wilkins, at noon. Then, at 3 p.m., Smith will record his podcast "Jay and Silent Bob Get Old," with his frequent collaborator Jason Mewes — best known as Jay to Smith's Silent Bob in most of Smith's movies.

Tickets to "NetHeads" are $40, and include a merchandise bundle. Tickets to "Jay and Silent Bob Get Old" are sold out.

Death Ray Comics' anniversary celebration starts with screenings Friday and Saturday of "Legends of the Knight," a documentary that chronicles true stories of people who take inspiration from Batman to do big things. Proceeds from the screenings, at 7 p.m. both nights, will go to Smith's charity, The Wayne Foundation. Tickets are available at the store.
