The Cricket’s Daily 3: George Clooney off the market
Here's what's being talked about in pop culture this weekend (besides the alleged racist comments of L.A. Clippers owner Donald Sterling, which sucked all the oxygen out of the room):
• George Clooney is apparently ending his years of bachelorhood, with a report that the actor/director has become engaged to human-rights lawyer Amal Alamuddin. [People]
• The awful comedy "The Other Woman" won a tepid weekend at the box office, taking in $24.7 million to knock "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" off its three-week perch. [Box Office Mojo]
• Warner Bros. and DC Comics announced that director Zack Snyder will start work on a "Justice League" movie — teaming up Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash and other superheroes — to be released in 2018. [The Hollywood Reporter]
