Here’s what’s being talked about in pop culture:

• Angry people took to Twitter to demand "The Colbert Report" be canceled, after an out-of-context joke about Asians appeared on a Comedy Central-run Twitter account. [Entertainment Weekly, The Hollywood Reporter]

• The University of Iowa won’t let HBO’s "Girls" film on campus, even though Lena Dunham’s character was just accepted in the school’s prestigious Iowa Writers Workshop. [Variety]

• A movie theater in Brooklyn’s Park Slope called the cops to remove a patron (who is a type II diabetic) who tried to bring a container of strawberries into the theater. [Village Voice]
