Kiss — the face-painted, leather-clad band led by singer-bassist Gene Simmons and guitarist-vocalist Paul Stanley — is celebrating 40 years as a band this year. Founding members Ace Frehley and Peter Criss aren't in the band anymore, replaced by lead guitarist Tommy Thayer and drummer Eric Singer. The band is known for its massive stage pyrotechnics, and is soon to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
