• Jason Sudeikis is in line to fill Chevy Chase’s gumshoes in a reboot of the "Fletch" franchise. [The Hollywood Reporter]

• Journalist Joe McGinniss — who wrote the controversial book "Fatal Vision," which chronicled the murder case of former Green Beret Jeffrey MacDonald — has died at the age of 71. McGinniss also wrote the Nixon campaign expose "The Selling of the President 1968" and infamously moved into the house next door to Sarah Palin to profile her. [New York Daily News]
