• Hollywood mourns the death of actor Paul Walker, 40, killed with a friend in a car crash on the way to a charity event. The makers of the seventh "The Fast and the Furious" movie are trying to figure out how to finish the film, currently in production, without him. [Entertainment Weekly, The Hollywood Reporter]

• Actress Maria Bello revealed, in a first-person article in The New York Times, that she’s gay and has been in a longtime relationship with a woman. [The New York Times]
