Here's what's happening in pop culture:

• "The Today Show" is starting its own book club, kind of like Oprah. [Vulture]

• Lucas Cruikshank, squeaky-voiced star of Nickelodeon's "Fred" movies, has announced that he's gay. [The Huffington Post]

• A sequel to the great 2000 martial-arts drama "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" is in the works, and Ziyi Zhang is in talks to reprise her role. [Entertainment Weekly]
