Plans for tonight: Getting ready for Pioneer Day

• The Days of '47 Parade Preview Party happens today and Tuesday at the South Towne Exposition Center, 9575 S. State St., Sandy. Doors are open from 11 a.m .to 9 p.m. both days. Free.

• The Days of '47 Rodeo continues tonight through Wednesday, at EnergySolutions Arena, 301 W. South Temple, Salt Lake City. The rodeo starts at 6:30 p.m. each night. Tickets available via Smith's Tix.

• Psychedelic garage band The Shine Brothers performs at The Urban Lounge, 241 S. 500 East, Salt Lake City. Opening acts: Night Sweats, Super 78. Show starts at 9. Tickets are $8, at 24Tix.
