Plans for tonight (and the 4th): Shoot the ‘works

Real Salt Lake takes on the Philadelphia Union in Major League Soccer play, at Rio Tinto Stadium, 9256 S. State St., Sandy. Game starts at 8. Fireworks follow the game. Tickets available at the Rio Tinto website.

• ‘80s rocker Pat Benatar and her guitarist/husband Neil Giraldo perform tonight at Sandy Amphitheater, 9400 S. 1300 East, Sandy. Show starts at 8. Tickets, from $29 to $45, available at Smith’s Tix.

Los Lobos, Los Lonley Boys and Alejandro Escovedo share the bill for an Independence Day show Thursday at the Snow Park amphitheater at Deer Valley, 2250 Deer Valley Drive, Park City. Show starts at 6:30 p.m. Tickets, from $35 to $65, available at the Eccles Center website.

• The annual Stadium of Fire show plays Thursday at LaVell Edwards Stadium, Brigham Young University campus, Provo. The headliner this year is Kelly Clarkson. Opening acts: Carly Ray Jepsen and a performance by Cirque du Soleil. Show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets available at the Stadium of Fire website.
