Plans for the weekend: Black Angels, Built to Spill, Piano Guys

• Indie-rock band The Thermals perform tonight at Kilby Court, 741 S. Kilby Court (330 West), Salt Lake City. Show starts at 7. Tickets are $14, at 24Tix.

• Electronic-dance duo The Egg and singer-songwriter Sophie Barker (of Zero 7) share the bill tonight at The Depot, 400 W. South Temple, Salt Lake City. Show starts at 9. Tickets are free, available at Smith’s Tix outlets (not online) or at The Depot box office.

• Sound-collage band Os Mutantes performs tonight at The Urban Lounge, 241 S. 500 East, Salt Lake City. Opening act: Capsula. Show starts at 9. Tickets are $20, at 24Tix.

Utah Opera’s production of Rossini’s "The Barber of Seville" debuts Saturday at the Capitol Theatre, 50 W. 200 South, Salt Lake City. Performance begins at 7:30 p.m. (and repeats at the same time on May 13, 15 and 17, and at 2 p.m. on May 19). Tickets available at ArtTix.

• Instrumental act and YouTube fave The Piano Guys performs Saturday at Abravanel Hall, 123 W. South Temple. Show starts at 8 p.m. The show is sold out.

• Indie-rock band Built to Spill performs Sunday at The Urban Lounge, 241 S. 500 East, Salt Lake City. Opening act: Junior Rocket Scientist. Show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $20, available at 24Tix.
