Here's what's happening today in pop culture:

• Movie critic (and friend of this blog) Roger Ebert announces that he is again battling cancer – so he will be taking a "leave of presence," slowing down his output to "reviewing only the movies I want to review." [Roger Ebert's Journal]

• "Finding Dory," a sequel to Pixar's hit "Finding Nemo," will be arriving in movie theaters in November 2015 – as director Andrew Stanton, licking his wounds from the "John Carter" debacle, goes back to Pixar to remind Hollywood that he does so make successful movies. [Entertainment Weekly]

• Jane Henson has died at the age of 78. She was in on the creation of her husband Jim's Muppets, and maintained his legacy after his death in 1990. [Reuters]
