• Hardcore band The Ghost Inside performs at In the Venue, 219 S. 600 West, Salt Lake City. Opening acts: Stick to Your Guns, Stray From the Path, Rotting Out. Show starts at 6. Tickets are $15, at Smith's Tix.

• The Salt Lake Bees start their Pacific Coast League season against the Tucson Padres at Spring Mobile Ballpark, 77 W. 1300 South, Salt Lake City. Game starts at 6:35 p.m. Tickets available at Smith's Tix.

• Indie folk-pop band Ivan & Alyosha performs at Kilby Court, 741 S. Kilby Court (330 West), Salt Lake City. Opening acts: L'anarchiste, Fort Atlantic. Show starts at 7. Tickets are $12, at 24Tix.

• The semi-improvised adults-only puppet show Henson Alternative's Stuffed and Unstrung happens at Kingsbury Hall, 1395 E. Presidents Circle, University of Utah campus, Salt Lake City. Show starts at 7:30. Tickets, from $24.50 to $36.50, at the Kingsbury website.

• Singer-songwriter Jeff Mangum (of Neutral Milk Hotel) performs acoustic at The Depot, 400 W. South Temple, Salt Lake City. Opening act: Tall Firs. Show starts at 8. Tickets are $30, at Smith's Tix.
