Plans for the weekend: Snoop Dogg at world’s end

• The Christmas classic "It’s a Wonderful Life" begins a weeklong run tonight at the Tower Theatre, 876 E. 900 South, Salt Lake City. Screenings start at 4:30 p.m. Tickets are $6.25, at the Tower box office.

• Broadway star Doug LaBrecque and "American Idol" finalist LaKisha Jones will sing with the Utah Symphony for a Pops "Holiday Celebration," tonight and Saturday at Abravanel Hall. Jerry Steichen conducts. The show starts at 8 p.m. both nights. Tickets available at ArtTix.
