Plans for the weekend: Snoop Dogg at world's end

• The Christmas classic "It's a Wonderful Life" begins a weeklong run tonight at the Tower Theatre, 876 E. 900 South, Salt Lake City. Screenings start at 4:30 p.m. Tickets are $6.25, at the Tower box office.

• Broadway star Doug LaBrecque and "American Idol" finalist LaKisha Jones will sing with the Utah Symphony for a Pops "Holiday Celebration," tonight and Saturday at Abravanel Hall. Jerry Steichen conducts. The show starts at 8 p.m. both nights. Tickets available at ArtTix.

• Rapper Snoop Dogg celebrates "The End of the World Party" tonight at The Depot, 400 W. South Temple, Salt Lake City. Opening act: Pac Div. Show starts at 9. Tickets are $55, at Smith's Tix.

• Hip-hop performers Pat Maine & Emerson Kennedy celebrate a CD release tonight at The Urban Lounge, 241 S. 500 East, Salt Lake City. Opening acts: DJ Battleship, Taken Root. Show starts at 9. Tickets are $10, at 24Tix.

• Local fave Peter Breinholt holds his annual Christmas concert, in two shows Saturday at the Jeanne' Wagner Theatre, 138 W. 300 South, Salt Lake City. Shows start at 4 and 8 p.m. Tickets are $15, at ArtTix.
