The musical performances at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival are promising to be eclectic, thanks to a partnership between Sundance and public-radio station KCRW.
The Santa Monica, Calif., station will host three nights of live performances at the festival’s Music Cafe, Jan. 18-20, and will broadcast live from the Acura studio space in Park City on Jan. 19 and 20, festival organizers announced today.

The programming by KCRW will feature emerging musicians and composers, focusing on the role of music in movies. Jason Bentley and Anne Litt, KCRW DJs and music supervisors, will co-host live radio broadcasts from 3 to 6 p.m. MST on Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 19 and 20. Highlights of the weekend’s performances will air on KCRW’s morning show, "Morning Becomes Eclectic," during the following week.
A full line-up of performances will be announced soon.
