• The Utah Symphony kicks off its "Florencia Festival" with an intimate recital of the music of Astor Piazzolla, at Abravanel Hall, 123 W. South Temple, Salt Lake City. Featured players are cellist Walter Haman, violinist Claude Halter and pianist Heather Connor. Show starts at 7. Tickets available at ArtTix.
• Jazz-infused hip-hop act Kyprios and The Chaperones performs at The Urban Lounge, 241 S. 500 East, Salt Lake City. Show starts at 9. Tickets are $10, at 24Tix.
