• The Independent Spirit Awards – given to the best in independent film – have announced their nominees, with "Moonrise Kingdom" and "Silver Linings Playbook" leading with five nominations each. • Your winner of the "all-star" season of "Dancing With the Stars" are Melissa Rycroft (the one-time "Bachelor" cast-off) and pro Tony Dovolani. [The Hollywood Reporter]
• Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellan will do battle again as Professor X and Magneto in the next "X-Men" movie, which has a time-travel plot that could have them in the same film with their younger selves (played in "X-Men: First Class" by James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender). [The Huffington Post]
