Here’s what’s happening today in pop culture – you know, besides the election:
• Steven Spielberg’s "Lincoln" will screen tonight at a theater you can’t buy tickets for: The one in the White House. Spielberg and stars Daniel Day-Lewis, Sally Field, Gloria Reuben and Tommy Lee Jones are expected to attend and meet President Barack Obama. [The Hollywood Reporter]
• Louise Erdrich’s "The Round House" wins the National Book Award for fiction; Katherine Boo’s "Behind the Beautiful Forevers: Life, Death, and Hope in a Mumbai Undercity," won for nonfiction, while David Ferry won the poetry prize for "Bewilderment: New Poems and Translations."
