• Pop bands Boys Like Girls and The All-American Rejects co-headline at UCCU Events Center, 800 W. University Parkway, Orem. Opening act: Parachute. Show starts at 7. Tickets are $32, at Smith’s Tix.
• The documentary "Eames: The Architect and the Painter," a profile of the husband-and-wife designers Charles and Ray Eames, will screen at the City Library auditorium, 210 E. 400 South, Salt Lake City. Eames Demetrios, the designers’ grandson and principal of the Eames Office, will speak after the screening. The screening starts at 7. Free.
• Indie pop band Freelance Whales performs at Kilby Court, 741 S. Kilby Court (330 West), Salt Lake City. Show starts at 8:30. Tickets are $18.50, at Smith’s Tix.
