Here’s what’s happening today in pop culture:
• "Taken 2" ruled the box office for a second weekend, with newcomers "Argo" and "Sinister" coming up behind. Two other new films, "Seven Psychopaths" and "Atlas Shrugged, Part II," both underperformed. [Box Office Mojo]
• Agent Phil Coulson, the unassuming hero of "The Avengers" (played by Clark Gregg), will return for Joss Whedon’s "S.H.I.E.L.D." TV spinoff. [Entertainment Weekly]
• Michael Moore has a new idea for how documentaries compete for Oscars: Play by the same rules as every other type of film. [The Wrap]
