The Cricket's Daily 3: 'Taken 2' takes weekend again

Here's what's happening today in pop culture:

• "Taken 2" ruled the box office for a second weekend, with newcomers "Argo" and "Sinister" coming up behind. Two other new films, "Seven Psychopaths" and "Atlas Shrugged, Part II," both underperformed. [Box Office Mojo]

• Agent Phil Coulson, the unassuming hero of "The Avengers" (played by Clark Gregg), will return for Joss Whedon's "S.H.I.E.L.D." TV spinoff. [Entertainment Weekly]
