Here’s what’s happening today in pop culture:

• "The Possession" wins the weekend box-office for the second week in a row, but don’t get too excited — the weekend’s overall numbers were the worst all year. Newcomers "The Words" and "The Cold Light of Day" both tanked. [Box Office Mojo]
• Roger Ebert’s memoir Life Itself will form the basis of a documentary, to be produced by director Martin Scorsese, screenwriter Steven Zaillian ("Schindler’s List") and Chicago filmmaker Steve James ("Hoop Dreams," "The Interrupters"). [Chicagoist]
