• Blues singer Bonnie Raitt starts a two-night stand at Red Butte Garden, 300 Wakara Way, University of Utah, Salt Lake City. Special guest: Mavis Staples. Show starts at 7. Tonight's show is sold out, but tickets are available for Wednesday's show, for $63, at the Red Butte website.
• Alt-rock legends Jane's Addiction performs at Saltair, 12408 W. Saltair Drive, Magna. Opening act: Big Black Delta. Show starts at 7:30. Tickets are $38, at Smith's Tix.
• Funk/jazz/soul organ trio The Alan Evans Trio performs at The Urban Lounge, 241 S. 500 East, Salt Lake City. Opening act: The Tony Holiday Trio. Show starts at 9. Tickets are $10, at 24Tix.
